The Decemberists preview new album with ‘Lake Song’ lyric video
Track forms part of ‘What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World’.
The Decemberists have unveiled a lyric video for previously unheard track ‘Lake Song’. Some lyric videos don’t carry much of a purpose, but this one’s special, given that it lights up lovely Colin Meloy-penned phrases such as “terminally fey” and “whatever you prevaricate”.
It’s a video that arrives directed by Jason Roark, and the song was initially played live at this year’s Boston Calling, May 2014.
It couples up with lead single ‘Make You Better’ - last week, The Decemberists debuted an official video for that track, starring a very confused Nick Offerman.
‘What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World’ is out 19th January on Rough Trade.
