The Drums share new track ‘Meet Me In Mexico’
Proceeds from the track are going to organisations that aid Mexican earthquake relief efforts.
Last year The Drums released their latest album ‘Abysmal Thoughts’, which we described as “a tightly wound, intimate record that feels deliberately smaller than their previous projects, fitting given that it’s their first crafted in a single headspace”.
Now they’re back with a one-off single called ‘Meet Me In Mexico’. It’s an urgent slice of indie-pop with hazy, snapping electronic drum beats, off-kilter synth pulses that feel like they might have been quite at home on ‘Abysmal Thoughts’.
As reported by Stereogum, proceeds from the one-off track are going to Reconstruir México and Lago Tanganica 67, organisations that help support Mexican earthquake relief efforts.
