The Flaming Lips Reveal Details Of New Album

The Flaming Lips have also recently been confirmed as headliners for this year’s Parklife Weekender.

The Flaming Lips will be releasing their new album ‘The Flaming Lips & Heady Fwends’ on Record Store Day.

The band, who revealed last year that their next musical project would contain all manner of musical guests, have announced plans to release the long-awaited album on the 21st April.

The album itself features collaborations on each tracks, with the list of contributors ranging from Bon Iver to Yoko Ono, Chris Martin to Ke$ha. Yup, really.

The full tracklisting for the new release is as follows.

2. Ashes In The Air (feat. Bon Iver)
3. Helping The Retarded To Know God (feat. Edward Sharpe)
4. Supermoon Made Me Want To Pee (feat. Prefuse 73)
5. Children Of The Moon (feat. Tame Impala)
6. That Ain’t My Trip (feat. Jim James)
7. You, Man? Human? (feat. Nick Cave)
8. I’m Working At NASA On Acid (feat. Lightning Bolt)
9. Do It! (feat. Yoko Ono)
10. Is David Bowie Dying? (feat. Neon Indian)
11. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (feat. Erykah Badu)
12. Thunder Drops (feat. New Fumes)
13. I Don’t Want You To Die (feat. Chris Martin)

The news of the collaborative album came following the release of The Flaming Lips’ Christmas track with Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono band.

The Flaming Lips have also recently been confirmed as headliners for this year’s Parklife Weekender, which will also feature the likes of Justice and DizzeThe e Rascal.

The event takes place on the 9th and 10th June in Platt Fields Park, Manchester.
