The Kills share ‘Heart Of A Dog’ video
It’s the second glimpse ahead of their forthcoming album ‘Ash & Ice’.

A newly returned The Kills have shared another cut from their first album in five years, ‘Ash & Ice’.
They’ve already set the riffed-up standard with ‘Doing It To Death’, and second glimpse ‘Heart of a Dog’ nails it with the same rough-edged attack. “I’m loyal,” growls Alison Mosshart insistently over spiny guitars. There are dogs in the video (clue’s in the title). There are cacti. And as is now usual for Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart on this album campaign, there’s a lot of clambering all over cars, too.
Also, Alison Mosshart only goes and does a backflip like it’s a piece of cake. Of course she does. Speaking about the new video, The Kills said “We are very very especially pleased to release our new music video for ‘Heart of A Dog’! It was shot all day and into the night in Los Angeles by our dear friend, the tremendous talent, Sophie Muller. We love this video. We love it because it’s fucking fun. Muscle cars and backflips. Palms trees and cacti. Dogs and dice. Neon and sunshine. We hope you love it as much as we do. VROOM VROOM.”
Vroom, vroom indeed. Along with ‘Heart of a Dog,’ there’s also news from camp The Kills of a UK tour. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
