The Maccabees confirm new album is finished
First single from the album is out in early March.
The Maccabees have confirmed that their follow-up to 2012’s ‘Given To The Wild’ has been completed.
Members of the group spoke to NME at the NME Awards 2015 about their forthcoming album, with drummer Sam Doyle stating: “It’s recorded, we’re about to finish mixing next week and it’ll be out in a few months.”
Felix White also added that the first single from the album will be released in March. “The first single is maybe the quickest thing we’ve ever done,” said White. “It’s opposite to ‘Given To The Wild’ in every kind of way, so it sounds like a band in a room. I think the songs are a lot better.”
The Maccabees play at Sheffield’s Leadmill on Saturday 21st February. Tickets have already sold out. Watch the video for ‘Pelican’ taken from ‘Given To The Wild’ below.
