Taking their precious time
The Maccabees aren’t thinking about their new album yet
“We’ve got nothing in the way of new songs or ideas at the moment,” Felix said.

Fresh from headlining Latitude festival, The Maccabees have revealed they’re keeping the focus firmly on touring, and new albums aren’t on the agenda just yet.
The band released their latest album ‘Marks to Prove It’ last year - read our August ‘15 cover feature here.
“We’ve got nothing in the way of new songs or ideas at the moment,” the band’s Felix White told NME. “We’ve written on tour in the past, but we just haven’t done it this time around. We haven’t talked about new songs as a band at all.”
“There might be some big shows at the end of the year. That’s as far ahead as we’re looking,” he hinted.
We had a catch up with The Maccabees last weekend as they prepared to take to Latitude’s biggest stage, with the band telling DIY album four feels like a stepping stone. “When we first started as a band - it was chaos, crowd-surfing, bodies flying around,” Felix told DIY. “The last record and the last tour, there was a different type of attentiveness.”
