The Maccabees, on Glastonbury 2015: “There’s nothing else like it”
Band look ahead to incorporating new material into their set.

The Maccabees are gearing up to showcase new album ‘Marks to Prove It’ on the biggest platform yet, at Glastonbury 2015.
Speaking ahead of the fest, frontman Orlando Weeks says “there’s nothing else like” playing a set on Worthy Farm.
“It’s a very surreal place, isn’t it?” he says. “Just to experience it…. I almost kind of dread it a little bit, leading up to it as it feels really out of my comfort zone! But once you’re there you’re okay, and it’s amazing.”
Weeks and co. are looking ahead to incorporating new material into their set, where they play to play “three or four new songs.”
“I think that, after we’ve been away for such a long time, we’re feeling confident about it.” Continuing, he says: “I’m excited as, for a lot of the record, we made it in a room, playing together. Hopefully that will translate well playing it live, because that’s how it was supposed to be.”
With the new LP out on 31st July, Saturday sees the band taking to the Other Stage from 19.05.
