The National confirm new album ‘I Am Easy To Find’
Obv it comes with a short film, because The National.
The National have announced details of their eighth studio album.
The group will release ‘I Am Easy To Find’ on 17th May, the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Sleep Well Beast’.
It comes with a short film starring Alicia Vikander and directed by album co-producer Mike Mills. They’ve also shared song ‘You Had Your Soul With You’. The track features vocals from long-time David Bowie collaborator Gail Ann Dorsey.
The record will also feature guest spots from artists including Sharon Van Etten, Lisa Hannigan and Brooklyn Youth Chorus.
“Yes, there are a lot of women singing on this, but it wasn’t because, ‘Oh, let’s have more women’s voices,’ says frontman Matt Berninger. “It was more, ‘Let’s have more of a fabric of people’s identities.’ It would have been better to have had other male singers, but my ego wouldn’t let that happen.”
In addition to the ‘A Special Evening With The National’ dates announced last week, the band head out on tour from June, with support coming from Courtney Barnett and Alvvays.
