The National announce show in support of Hillary Clinton

With election day approaching in the USA, Hillary Clinton has announced a series of Get Out The Vote shows, titled Love Trumps Hate (see what she did there?) - The National are set to headline in their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

“We will urge Ohioans to support Clinton and her vision of an America that is stronger together by voting early or on Election Day,” say the band in an announcement. Other acts set to perform at Love Trumps Hate shows include Katy Perry and Jennifer Lopez.

Earlier this week, National frontman Matt Berninger released an anti-Trump song via his EL VY side-project. The National have also been performing a bunch of new songs live recently, including at their triumphant Latitude headline slot.
