Watch The National debut new song ‘Light Years’

The National hosted their own festival, Homecoming, in their hometown of Cincinnati at the weekend, with a bill featuring the likes of Future Islands and Julien Baker.

The band - who released their seventh album ‘Sleep Well Beast’ last year - performed two headline sets across the weekend, and took the time to debut a new song.

‘Light Years’ is the first taster of what we’re presuming will become LP8, and it’s a reserved but gorgeous piano-based teaser.

The National will headline this year’s Primavera Sound in Barcelona next month, and play a headline show as part of London’s new festival heavyweight All Points East.
