The National play two new songs live
The band played ‘Hague Blue’ and ‘The Day I Die’ at a charity benefit show.

The National played two new songs - ‘Hague Blue’ and ‘The Day I Die’ - for the first time live at a charity show last Friday. They were performing at the Welcome To Hamilton benefit; held to raise money for young Syrian refugees in Canada.
The band have built a studio in upstate New York for their ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ follow-up, and last month Aaron Dessner said that The National will “start recording soon”. Frontman Matt Berninger also said that though a new record is not due this year, the band intend on performing loads of their new songs live anyway.
