Group recorded their ‘High Violet’ and ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ albums at Dessner’s house.
The National guitarist Aaron Dessner is putting his house - home to the band’s de-facto recording studio - up for sale.
Dessner’s Ditmas Park property is valued at $2,350,000, according to Brownstoner. Frontman Matt Berninger was renting the upstairs room. Poor guy’s being kicked out.
The Brooklyn house hosted recording sessions for The National’s ‘High Violet’ and ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ albums. Sharon Van Etten also recorded ‘Tramp’ here.
In other recent National news, they’ve been showcasing a new song live, and its title is changing by the day.
