It's an omen
The Prodigy air new single ‘Nasty’
Following on from last week’s news of album ‘The Day Is My Enemy’, the band revealed a brand new track on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show.

Last week original firestarters The Prodigy announced ‘The Day Is My Enemy’. Tonight they followed the news up with the first track from their upcoming new album. ‘Nasty’ received its first ever spin courtesy of Mr Zane Lowe, who crowned it his Hottest Record.
“This is ‘Nasty’” announced Zane by way of introduction, and he’s not wrong. Frantic declarations of “nasty” immediately cut across sawtooth synths, and returning to The Prodigy’s trademark attacking wares, it’s as if they never left. “It felt really direct, and undeniably us,” explains the band, speaking to Zane live on his show. “We wanted people to get the full force of that. It’s really simple and direct.”
The Prodigy also announced that they will be heading out on a ten-date tour this May, taking in dates across the UK before their headline set at Isle of Wight Festival.
Beginning on 4th May in Newcastle, the trio will play a run of ten dates that stretch across the first half of the month, before concluding the run with two dates at London’s Alexandra Palace.
The Prodigy will play:
MAY
04 Newcastle, O2 Academy
05 Bridlington, Spa
07 Birmingham, O2 Academy
08 Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena
09 Blackpool, Empress Ballroom
11 Reading, Rivermead
12 Brighton, Centre
14 Bournemouth, International Centre
15 London, Alexandra Palace
16 London, Alexandra Palace
Tickets for The Prodigy’s UK tour will go on sale Wednesday 14th January at 9am, priced at £37.50 plus fees. The Prodigy will also headline Isle of Wight in June alongside The Black Keys and Fleetwood Mac.
