The Who confirmed for third Glastonbury headline slot
The band will be joined by Paul Weller on the Pyramid Stage this June.
The Who have been confirmed as the third headliners for Glastonbury 2015.
The band had been rumoured to be the unannounced bill-topper for the festival, set to take place next month, and will be joined by Paul Weller in the penultimate main stage slot on the Sunday of the event.
“It’s great to be ending this part of a 50 year career at the most prestigious and respected music festival in the world,” Roger Daltrey said. “We’ll do our best to close this years event with a bang, unless of course the fireworks get wet!”
The band will play London’s Hyde Park two days before on Friday 26th June as part of the Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time series of events. There, they’ll be joined by Weller, Kaiser Chiefs, Gaz Coombes, Sleaford Mods.
The Who join Kanye West and Foo Fighters as Glastonbury headliners, with the bill also including Florence + The Machine, Run The Jewels, Jamie XX, Super Furry Animals, Alt-J, Jamie T, Future Islands and hundreds of others. Check out the full line up poster below.
