The Who announce Wembley Stadium show
The Moving On! tour comes to the capital in July.
The Who have announced a huge London show for this summer.
Daltrey, Townshend and co will come to Wembley Stadium on 6th July as part of the Moving On! tour.
Special guests for the show are Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Kaiser Chiefs, with more yet to be announced.
The band will be accompanied by a symphonic orchestra for the show.
“The Who are touring again in 2019,” Pete Townshend comments. “Roger christened this tour Moving On! I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Looking forward to seeing you all. Are you ready?”
Roger Daltrey adds: “Be aware Who fans! Just because it’s The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on.”
Tickets are on sale this Thursday (31st January) at 10am.
