The Who to play British Summer Time Hyde Park 2015
Special guests at the all-day event include Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Marr.
The Who will perform at British Summer Time Hyde Park 2015 on 26th June for the final date of their ‘Who Hits 40’ UK tour. Special guests at the all-day event include Paul Weller, Kaiser Chiefs and Johnny Marr.
The ten-date UK stint also includes two gigs at London’s O2 Arena. “This is the beginning of the long goodbye,” says the band’s Roger Daltrey of the run.
“It’s a good gig,” adds Pete Townshend. “You draw from all over the country but a London crowd is always a good crowd. [Hyde Park is] a Royal Park so thank you your majesty, you can’t play it without her permission.”
Tickets will go on general sale from 9am on Thursday 20th November.
Taylor Swift will also headline a British Summer Time Hyde Park day on 27th June. Last year featured sets from Arcade Fire, Jake Bugg, Wild Beasts, Future Islands, Black Sabbath, The Libertines, Neil Young and McBusted.
