The xx make dancey SNL debut with 'On Hold'

The xx played a couple of songs from their new record on the telly over the weekend, and in the process, revealed how they’ve been spending the years since their last album ‘Coexist’. Polishing their dancing shoes, to be exact.

Though Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim’s choreography could do with a bit of work on SNL, it’s a fitting shift towards their neon-tinted, Hall & Oates-sampling comeback ‘On Hold’.

The xx also performed new track ‘I Dare You,’ which appears on the new record. After surfacing briefly, footage of that performance has disappeared from the internet altogether.

The xx’s third album ‘I See You’ is out on January 13th via Young Turks. They’re off on a very big tour next year, too.

Watch their SNL performance of ‘On Hold’ below.
