Thumbuster crack their joints on debut 'NO:P' album

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Thumbuster.

Boasting members of Nai Harvest and Best Friends among their ranks, Thumbuster’s music is almost as tangled as their potted musical history. Jagged, sinewy college-rock, it’s a throwback to the genre’s nineties heyday that has no qualms with lurching into the present day.

Their debut album ‘NO:P’ is an ideal introduction - all sawtooth guitars and bawled, sweaty-basement vocals, it refuses to drop the baton at any point. Twisting itself into evermore contorted shapes, it’s a record that proves Thumbuster to be a thousand times bigger than the sum of their parts.

You can pre-order ‘NO:P’ on cassette right here via Delicious Clam Records, and get the first spin of it below ahead of its release tomorrow.
