TLC turn to Kickstarter for final album
Outfits from TLC’s music videos amongst the rewards on offer.
Revealing plans for a fifth and final album, TLC have launched a Kickstarter to fund the project.
Those contributing could receive outfits from TLC’s music videos, slumber parties, movie dates or even an exercise class with Chilli by way of reward.
In an interview with Billboard, Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas said that the group decided on the Kickstarter approach to ensure that they had “complete creative control” over the new album. “The only people we’ll be talking to and asking their opinions is the fans”.
The Kickstarter is already over a third of the way to reaching its target, with $53,900 of the $150,000 target pledged as of Tuesday morning (20th January).
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
