Tom Vek shares previously unheard track, ‘Dirty Water’

Tom Vek has unveiled ‘Dirty Water’, a previously unheard track from his collection that even predates debut album ‘We Have Sound’.

The LP celebrates its 10th anniversary this month, and as part of that package, Vek is sharing old recordings under the ‘Pre Have Sound’ banner. Speaking to DIY in an exclusive interview about his debut, he says: “There are four or five years of stuff leading up to ‘We Have Sound’, and I think you can hear where it was sort of meandering around.”

Speaking to DIY’s Liam McNeilly, Vek also discusses the “complicated emotion” of revisiting older material, and why he wants to be “faithless and authentic” with the anniversary.”
