Trudy & The Romance announce ‘Junkyard Jazz’ EP with new single ‘Is There A Place I Can Go’

It’s “a love song about family, friends and coming of age in the new world”.

All hail! Trudy & The Romance are back! The Liverpudlian trio are returning with their new EP ‘Junkyard Jazz’ in November, and we’ve got the first play of its opening single, ‘Is There A Place I Can Go’.

Typically woozy and ’50s-indebted, it’s another brilliant slice of retro-pop from the trio, who are set to head out on a UK tour in support of the record in October and November.

‘Is There A Place I Can Go’, the band tell us via email, “is a love song about family, friends and coming of age in the new world. It’s a juvenile ballad using all the spank & tools we had to make the biggest bang.”

“Our stuff’s like a collage and we’re trying to jigsaw it all together,” they continue, talking about the new collection. “The songs on the EP are meant to be loose but compact. It ties together as a bunch of different little stories; Junkyard Jazz, a messy love.”

View the band’s upcoming tour dates and the tracklisting for ‘Junkyard Jazz’ alongside the first play of ‘Is There A Place I Can Go’ below. Pre-order the EP on 12” vinyl via B3SCI Records here.
