tUnE-yArDs shares new video for ‘Rocking Chair’

The watercolour stop-motion clip morphs alongside the ‘Nikki Nack’ cut.

tUnE-yArDs has shared a new video for ‘Rocking Chair’.

Taken from Merrill Garbus’ third album ‘Nikki Nack’ - which came out in May last year - it’s the fourth video from the record. It follows the busy, helicopter filled visual for ‘Wait A Minute,’ the mannequin-wrestling ‘Real Thing’ and the absolutely batshit children’s telly-channelling video for ‘Water Fountain’.

Though there’s no update on the follow-up to ‘Nikki Nack’ as of yet, tUnE-yArDs is currently a guest on Yoko Ono’s upcoming collaborative album ‘Yes, I’m a Witch Too’. She recently debuted new music alongside the likes of St Vincent, How To Dress Well, and Dev Hynes at David Byrne’s Contemporary Color event in Toronto.

A stop-motion clip of morphing water colour paintings by artist Sarah Pupo, it’s a relatively minimal clip in comparison. Watch the video for ‘Rocking Chair’ below.
