Twin Atlantic bring electricity and passion to the Stand For Something Tour
The Glaswegian four-piece bring their anthems to the Leeds leg of the Dr. Martens Stand For Something Tour.
When it comes to Leeds’ musical history, it’s safe to say that the Brudenell Social Club is a prestigious part within it. So, its place in the hearts of many a music fan - and the pilgrimage of a journey that’s required to get there - is exactly what makes it the perfect setting for the Leeds leg of the Dr. Martens Stand For Something Tour, with Twin Atlantic being the perfect headliner.
First up, the evening kicks off with Hull newcomers LIFE who use their opening slot to put on an impressive show, before Southampton quintet Creeper prove just why theirs is the name on everyone’s lips right now.
Showcasing offerings from their new Roadrunner-released EP ‘The Callous Heart’, the band possess a brilliant sense of darkness that’s backed up by crunching guitars and massive choruses. Despite having only been playing shows together for the better part of a year, their set already feels defined, while their songs are clearly - as evidenced by the good chunk of people singing along - hitting home with the crowd. If this is what the band are capable of at such an early point in their lifetime, they’re an incredibly exciting prospect for rock music.
It is clear, however, that tonight truly belongs to this evening’s headliners. Having already had quite the year – headlining their hometown arena being just one of their achievements in 2015 – tonight’s set to be a more intimate affair, which gets off to an electrifying start.
