Two Door Cinema Club: Album Two Is ‘Almost Done’

No details have yet been confirmed about the follow up to 2010’s ‘Tourist History’.

Two Door Cinema Club have been working on the follow up to their Choice Prize winning debut album ‘Tourist History’.

The Northern Irish trio tweeted the following statement yesterday to keep fans informed of their progress:

‘Lots of people asking about the new album. It’s almost done! We’re working on the 10th track at the moment. 2 more weeks and it’ll be done!!’

Speaking to DIY about the last album’s success, frontman Sam Halliday said ‘Something that we’ve been very proud of our album about chart-wise is that it didn’t ever go in at a really high number, but we’ve been shocked at the sustained success of it. It’s been in the Top 40 pretty much constantly. Loads of bands get a really big marketing budget behind them and it’ll go into the chart in the Top 10, but then people forget about it and that’s it, over.’

No details have yet been confirmed about the follow up to 2010’s ‘Tourist History’ but the band will be performing at this year’s Reading & Leeds festival on the NME Stage.
