Ty Segall teams up with Melvins’ Dale Crover and OFF!’s Steven McDonald to form new band, Broken Bat

Ty Segall is no stranger to side projects and collaborations, working over the years as a part of Fuzz, The Traditional Fools, Party Fowl, Sic Alps and many more. Oh, and don’t forget his eight solo albums - in other words, Segall is a man not afraid to have his fingers in a lot of pies. The latest of these pies arrives in the form of Broken Bat, a new band featuring Segall, the Melvins’ drummer Dale Crover, and OFF!/Redd Kross bassist Steven McDonald.

The band have released a preview of their first single ‘Take My Medicine’ via a 53 second Bandcamp snippet. The snippet is all plodding basslines, gritty guitars and manic laughter, and it promises an aggressive and confident arrival from Segall’s latest project.
