Unreleased Jason Molina track ’September 11, 2011’ unearthed

An unreleased track recorded by the late songwriter Jason Molina has been shared online this week by Secretly Canadian Records. ’September 11,2001’ was written and recorded by Molina, Will Oldham and Alasdair Roberts on the day of the attacks in New York City.

Alongside the track’s unveiling, Alasdair Roberts has written a note about the recording of the track on the fateful weekend, calling it “a spontaneous response from Jason’s soul to the unimaginably terrible events of that day”.
