Vertical Slump make a stand with ‘Tether’ single

Vertical Slump are a new band consisting of members from Shopping, Gloss Rejection, Omi Palone, Circuit Breaker and many more do-it-yourself staples. This October they release a debut 7” called ‘Ruined Value’, and it’s being led with the unrestrained headrush of ‘Tether’.

The track comes from recent sessions at Sound Savers studios with Mark Jasper. Like being hit over the head with a concrete slab and loving every minute of it, there’s a strange sense of joy peering out from the relentless dissonance. Post-punk to the nth degree, a glimmering of hope arrives in ‘Tether’’s chorus, making it anything but everyday fare.
