Vessels team up with The Flaming Lips on ‘Deflect The Light’
It’s the second single from the Leeds band’s upcoming new album!
Sound the ace collaboration klaxon!
After returning with the pulsating ‘Radiart’ earlier in the year, Leeds five-piece Vessels are back with a brand new track, and they’ve brought some very special guests along for the ride. On ‘Deflect The Light’, the latest single from their upcoming album ‘The Great Distraction’ (due 29th September on Different Recordings), they’ve enlisted the help of none other than The Flaming Lips and it’s another explosive, euphoric electronic cut.
John Grant, Vincent from Django Django and Katie Harkin of Sky Larkin and Sleater-Kinney are also set to contribute vocals to the upcoming new record. Hmm, wonder if any of these will make an appearance at their set at Citadel next month? One can dream…
Listen to ‘Deflect The Light’ below.
Vessels will play Citadel (16th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
