We’ve all probably been in the situation when you fancy someone and then all of a sudden they disappear off the face of the earth, and that’s exactly what’s slow-burning new track ‘Reply’ is all about.
Lifted from his forthcoming debut LP ‘Respect For Devotion’, Aldous explains of the song: “In this song I lament a situation in which I felt a romantic connection with somebody only to never see them again, deliberating whether to call them or text them. In layman’s terms this is also known as the modern phenomenon being ‘Ghosted’.”
Accompanied by a new video put together by Aldous and some of his pals, he continues, “The video for ‘Reply’ deals with the fear of missing out, which is a bit of a modern plague for romantic and personal relationships. People are constantly looking for the next best thing & neglecting the things that already surround them. A lot of us also yearn for the attention of those who pay us no mind, more often than not this becomes a sad cycle, half the time your unrequited love is in the shadow of your unrequited lovers own unrequited love.”
With his album set to land on 29th May via Moshi Moshi, have a watch of his newest vid below.
