Watch Alt-J bring ‘Left Hand Free’ to Letterman
This month’s DIY coverstars made their second appearance on The Late Show.
Last night, ahead of their ‘This Is All Yours’ record, Alt-J made their second ever US televised appearance by playing The Late Show with David Letterman.
The band performed ‘Left Hand Free’, complete with shuffling organ solos and a jerky guitar line.
Alt-J are this month’s DIY coverstars, with the new issue out from today (5th September) in stockists, available to read online for free.
This month’s cover feature finds a band comfortable with not being recognised, despite being one of the biggest in the country. “Being able to do what we like is the best position to be in,” explained Thom Green, “because you don’t have to prove anything.”
Letterman enjoyed it - “I heard that you won an award in England? What award?” he asked after the performance.
