Axel to grind
Watch Arcade Fire cover the Beverly Hills Cop theme in Los Angeles
LA’s Forum saw witness to a performance including ‘Axel F’.

Arcade Fire’s run of covering city-based songs was taken to a whole new level this weekend, when they did a rendition of ‘Axel F’, the Beverly Hills Cop theme, while performing in Los Angeles.
Taking place at the Forum on 2nd August, Win Butler and co. followed up a performance the night before, which saw them playing songs by Jane’s Addiction and Guns N’ Roses.
“It was actually written by Axl Rose, people don’t often realise that,” joked the frontman ahead of the ‘Axel F’ cover. Watch footage below.
The band’s world tour has seen them covering all kinds of songs in different cities - back in England, they covered The Smiths while at London Earls Court.
Last week in California they took on Creedence Clearwater Revival’s ‘Hey Tonight’.
