Watch Drew from Glass Animals get slapped with a fish
Oxford group said they’d get fishy if they made Aussie station’s Triple J’s Hottest 100 - it happened.
In the last twelve months, Glass Animals have come trout of the shadows, becoming one of the UK’s most exciting new bands.
With their carpe diem attitude, the group have been fishing for a spot in Australia station Triple J’s Hottest 100.
Last month they told fans that if they made the top 20, they’d happily strip Drew MacFarlane nude and slap him with a fish.
They’ve fulfilled this prophecy by making the Number 12 spot in the Hottest 100. On the coldest day of the year so far, they devoted everything to “swinging fish at drew’s boob” (their words). “We honestly thought it would be impossible considering the other artists involved,” they said on Facebook. But there was no going back.
You can watch the fish frenzy below. Disclaimer from Glass Animals: “All fish in this video were donated to us and were ethically sourced. Since the slapping, we have de-boned and filleted the fish, and given it to our mothers and friends to eat.”
