Watch Foo Fighters make live return with Dave Grohl sat in a throne
Frontman fractured his leg last month.
One month on from fracturing his leg and being forced to miss out on shows at Wembley Stadium and Glastonbury, Dave Grohl made his live return with the Foo Fighters last night (4th July).
Playing Washington DC’s RFK Stadium, Grohl returned to the stage in a giant throne, lined with a dozen different guitars and emboldened with the Foos logo.
The Saturday night show was part of the band’s 4th July blow oat, also featuring support acts RDGLDGRN, Trombone Shorty, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Gary Clark Jr., Heart, LL Cool J, Buddy Guy and Trouble Funk.
Footage of the show - including the moment Grohl describes his leg-break incident - can be seen below, including clips of ‘Everlong’, ‘The Pretender’, ‘Times Like These’, ‘Something From Nothing’ and ‘Monkey Wrench’. Watch below via NME.
