Watch footage of D’Angelo’s live comeback at New York’s Apollo Theater
Fan recording captures ‘Untitled (How Does It Feel)’ live in New York.
D’Angelo played at New York’s Apollo Theater on Saturday, following a recent debut performance on Saturday Night Live. He’s currently supporting his recent album ‘Black Messiah’ after rush-releasing the record late last year.
Fan footage of D’Angelo’s gig on Saturday has since emerged, showing him performing ‘Untitled (How Does It Feel)’, taken from his previous album ‘Voodoo’. D’Angelo and his group stretch the romantic slow-jam to a fourteen-minute rendition, changing the tempo and pace. Towards the end, D’Angelo takes over the keyboards, dimming the lights allowing a backing singer to take on the majority of a vocals, before the crowd take over.
