The 1975 made their live return last night in Liverpool, the first of a run of intimate shows in the run up to the new year. Bringing with them new material from their upcoming second full-length ‘I like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it’ (seriously lads, can we shorten that soon?), footage of numerous new songs has, inevitably, ended up online.

Consider this your spoiler warning.

Right then. We’ve got everything from heartfelt, lighters-aloft ballads (‘Change Of Heart’) to massive synth-pop numbers (‘Sound’). Classic 1975 gets beefed up in ‘She’s American’ too, Matty Healy’s ode to a girl who “says I’ve got to fix my teeth / she’s so American.” There’s also a sax solo, because why the hell not?

Watch footage of the tracks below, along with ‘Love Me”s live debut and some seriously loud screaming. Some things never change.
