Watch Franz Ferdinand Cover Grimes’ ‘Oblivion’

Kapranos and his acoustic guitar take on Claire Boucher’s breakthrough single.

Current DIY Weekly coverstars Franz Ferdinand

have bravely tackled the song with a gazillion covers already to its name: Grimes’ ‘Oblivion’.

Naturally, Alex Kapranos and co’s take is a good distance away from the punk punch that’s landed on their new album ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’. An acoustic hum helps provide a laid-back take on the track that first appeared on Grimes’ 2012 album, ‘Visions’.

The band performed the cover for French radio station Oui FM.
