Watch: Grimes Appears On Later… With Jools Holland
Appearing complete with a third eye attached to her forhead, the singer performed doused in blue lights.

Last night (24th April), Grimes performed her latest single ‘Genesis’ on Later… With Jools Holland.
Appearing complete with a third eye attached to her forhead, the singer performed the track from her latest album ‘Visions’ doused in blue lights.
Grimes may have only recently released ‘Visions’, but she claims to have already begun working on her next record.
In an interview with DIY, the rising star - real name Claire Boucher - spoke about her future project: ‘I’ve just started my next album,’ she admits. ‘But it’s hard to work when you’re on the road this much.’
So, with such a stream of productivity, what avenues can we expect to see the singer exploring next?
“I feel like being receptive to change is what I do but I don’t believe in reinventing,” Boucher begins. “I’m getting into bass music. I want to work hard with percussion and getting out of this 4/4 shit. I’m also working on super-forward and unaffected vocals. I want to make something extremely clean, sparse, scary, neo-industrial.’
‘I want it to still be feminine but in the way that ballet is feminine – because at the core of ballet’s femininity is an incredible hardness, dedication, intensity and simplicity.’
Grimes released ‘Visions’ through 4AD.
