London via Coventry lads Half Loon have literally come out of nowhere with this hidden gem of a debut.

‘Swearword’ is a thing of beauty; a drifty, dazed sort of number that floats along with an effortless grace; like a post-night-out, pre-hangover 5am summer stroll, that hazy glow of morning sun creeping up in the distance.

Folk-tinged slide guitars, delicate bass plucks, and singer Daniel Pickard’s breezy, laid back vocal delivery make for a joyous, relaxing listen. A perfect accompaniment to the final throes of summer.
