Watch Interpol Showcase New ‘Anywhere’ And ‘My Desire’ Songs Live
Watch footage of the band showcasing their fifth album at Newcastle Riverside.

New York five-piece Interpol started previewing their fifth album last weekend, during a performance in Newcastle for the NME Awards tour.
This is the first we’ve heard of the album, which is in its completion stages. The album was being mixed in London, with 8 tracks finished by the end of January. In February, the band issued a statement alongside festival dates: ‘Just putting the final touches on the new album and it’s all feeling very good.’
Confident enough to showcase the songs at this early stage, the band played ‘My Desire’ and ‘Anywhere’. Now footage has emerged of both songs being played. There’s ‘Anywhere’ in full, plus a short snippet of ‘My Desire’.
Update: Another new song’s surfaced. It’s called ‘All The Rage Back Home’ and it completes the trio of new tracks showcased during the Newcastle show. It’s filmed sideways, but you get the gist.
The follow-up to ‘Interpol’ is released later this year.
