Watch LIFE perform ‘Niceties’ to Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe for Jäger Curtain Call
The band were the first of three headliners to play the 2018 series.
This year, Jäger Curtain Call – the annual programme bringing you a new track and a special gig from a host of our favourite bands – has super-sized. Not content with just landing in London, we’re also taking it on the road to Glasgow and Manchester, and earlier this month saw the triple-header kick off in style at the latter’s Night and Day Cafe with a headline set from LIFE.
During the set, the Hull punks premiered new track ‘Niceties’ - recorded for the programme and unveiled the previous day. A musing on “anxiety, my mental health, how people see me when I’m holding my child and how the music industry will always tie those loops in my mind” according to singer Mez Green, the track is a sonically spiky affair that draws out these themes and laces them over something still darkly danceable.
You can now watch the track, recorded during the show, below.
Jäger Curtain Call continues in London on 15th November, when Yowl will headline The Lexington with support from Sistertalk and Lumer. Get tickets here.
Sweaty Palms and Lylo will then co-headline the Glasgow show at The Blue Arrow on 25th November, with more artists to be confirmed. Tickets for that one can be picked up right here.
