Watch New David Bowie, ‘Love Is Lost’ (James Murphy Remix) Video
Alternate video to Bowie’s puppet-filled original probably cost more than £8 to produce.
Late last month the video for David Bowie’s ‘Love Is Lost’ (James Murphy Remix) debuted at the 2013 Mercury Prize. It involved Bowie looking utterly terrifying with the help of a private puppet collection - and all on the budget of approximately 8 English pounds.
This alternate video is minus Bowie, but it’s probably been put together on a slightly bigger budget. Recruiting some trippy visuals, kaleidoscopic and overlapping, it shuns the fear of the track itself and hones in at James Murphy’s electronic touch.
