Watch Phoenix Perform ‘Chloroform’ In A Texas High School

glamorous world tour is taking loftier turns by the second, but back in October Thomas Mars and co. brought themselves to less glitzy surroundings by performing in an Austin, Texas high school. They performed a full-length concert to 500 students and teachers, playing in a basketball gym.

Ahead of the entire gig airing on 1st February via US channel PBS. Before that, they’ve shared footage of ‘Chloroform’ being aired out. By the end of the show, the stage was invaded and the whole thing was chaos.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, frontman Thomas Mars recalled: ‘The first three or four songs, they were really intimidated because there was a camera and a teacher.

‘But it ended up getting really chaotic – in a good way. They invaded the stage. Those girls had no boundaries! There’s no way we could do a [high school] tour. But I’m glad we did one show like that – and that it’s on tape.’
