South London’s Sweat announce new virtual reality club ‘SweatNet’
They’ve also shared a hologram performance of new track ‘Drink Drive:'.
Keeping busy during lockdown, South London’s Sweat have built and coded a brand new online venue from their flat in Peckham called ‘SweatNet’.
Announcing the virtual reality club’s opening today, they’ll be hosting loads of bands to perform ‘live’ via the hologram, with Lynks Afrikka, PVA, Nuha Ruby Ra, Lunch Money Life and more set to play throughout the month.
All events will be free but Sweat ask that users support independent venues by donating via the link to #saveourvenues within the club. In addition to this, the profits from Sweat’s first run of merch sales will be donated to Black Lives Matter.
If you head into the club now, you’ll also be treated to a holographic performance of Sweat’s newest track ‘Drink Drive:', “a song about theft of a digitally corrupted identity”.
With the line-up for each event to be revealed weekly, check out the full list of artists below and head into the club here!
