Watch The Flaming Lips And Sean Lennon Play ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’

The ever-shy Wayne Coyne surrounded himself in glowing wires and wore fake wings.

David Letterman’s currently inviting a host of guests in to perform Beatles songs, mainly because this week marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first televised appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Earlier this week Broken Bells did a very special rendition of ‘And I Love Her’, featuring a televised sample of Ringo Starr jamming out on the drums. Then Sting and Lenny Kravitz played, which was less fun, but now king of the naked selfies Wayne Coyne has fronted a cover of ‘Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds’ (what else?), and he’s joined by Sean Lennon. Coyne takes centre stage, wearing prosthetic wings and standing 5 feet taller than everybody else. He’s a shy one, that Wayne.
