On the telly
Watch The Maccabees, Stereophonics and more perform on Later… with Jools Holland
‘Marks To Prove It’ was brought to the second show of the new series.
Last night (22nd September) was the second show in the new series of Later… with Jools Holland, and heading up the performances were The Maccabees.
The band brought ‘Marks To Prove It’ to the telly to perform the title track along with ‘Something Like Happiness’.
Joining the Elephant & Castle lot on the show were the likes of Stereophonics, who performed tracks from their recent chart-topping album ‘Keep The Village Alive’. Other performances came from Richard Thompson and Roisin Murphy.
This instalment of the legendary show followed last week’s massive opening, in which Disclosure, Kwabs and more were overshadowed by a Foals performance that will be remembered for a long time. Read our piece on why it was so special here.
The Maccabees are gearing up for a huge winter of shows in the UK, both before and after Christmas. A third show at London’s Brixton Academy was just added to the run, making this their biggest homeland tour yet.
