So much for The National being a bunch of sad guys writing sad songs. Behind the scenes, when they’re not writing songs that tug on the ol’ heartstrings, they’re having the time of their lives.
Hiring out a Matt Berninger’s mum’s house, in the ‘Graceless’ video The National down cans of beer, shoot fruit with giant potato guns, jump around on bouncy castles, slide down hills, dive into a 3 foot deep swimming pool and smile. Lots.
