Watch the trailer for Oasis’ ‘Supersonic’ documentary

On 2nd October, a Mat Whitecross-directed Oasis documentary arrives in UK cinemas. ‘Supersonic’ is also executive produced by ‘Amy’ director Asif Kapadia, and it comes with narrations from both Noel and Liam Gallagher.

In a new trailer, streaming below, Oasis document their “fucking Biblical” rise from Creation Records signing to becoming one of the biggest bands in the world. Even in just two minutes, it includes fantastic quotes like, “The day that it steps over into the tabloids, then you’ve gone to the dark side” and, “Oasis was like a Ferrari. Great to look at. Great to drive. And it’d fucking spin out of control every now and again.”

The documentary gained a screening at last weekend’s Festival No. 6. In a Q&A, director Whitecross said: “Neither of [the Gallagher brothers] have discounted the idea of getting back together. It will happen, I’m sure. The idea of never seeing them again for me is impossible.”
