See the video for Stephen Hawking’s Record Store Day single
Monty Python’s ‘Galaxy Song’ has been given a new version by the professor.
Just about the most outlandish Record Store Day release this year, Stephen Hawking has covered Monty Python’s ‘Galaxy Song’ for a limited-edition 7”.
The new release sees the professor taking on an original from 1983 film ‘Monty Python’s The Meaning Of Life’. Given the big-picture, space-age themes surrounding the song, Hawking seems a good choice for performing the cover.
A new video for ‘Galaxy Song’ can be seen below - watch it, if only for the bit where Hawking runs over Professor Brian Cox.
With Bob Vylan, St Vincent, girl in red, Lizzy McAlpine and more.
