Watch: Thief Unveils ‘Closer’ Video

Aussie newcomer PJ Wolf quietly released his ‘Closer’ EP towards the end of last year. It’s a bringing together of the Sydney resident’s colourful take on pop, something that matches up to a T with the new video for the EP’s title-track.

Any sense of downtroddeness that might be picked out of the song itself is chucked to one side in this fantastic, stop-motion video directed by Robert Wallace. ‘I’m too tired of watching you fuck me over,’ sings Thief. But who bloody cares when there’s a tin of biscuits swirling around in a circular motion, surrounded by plastic fried eggs and old-school telephone sets?
