We Were Promised Jetpacks unveil new video for ‘A Part Of It’
The band have revealed their new clip ahead of their slots supporting Death Cab For Cutie next week.
Ahead of their upcoming shows supporting Death Cab For Cutie, We Were Promised Jetpacks have unveiled a brand new video.
The clip which accompanies ‘A Part Of It’, comes directed by Ben Cowie and follows on from their previous visual effort for ‘Peaks and Troughs’, acting as another instalment in a video trilogy.
“We were interested in the director’s ideas to tell a story in three instalments and try something a little different,” the band have said, of the series of clips. “The videos hopefully capture some of the themes that we tried to portray in our album. We wanted something where tension would build and where there would be something sinister bubbling under the surface.”
“There are answers within this video as to what is going on in the trilogy,” Cowie continues, hinting at viewers to keep their eyes peeled. “You have to look quite deep to find them, then make your own decisions on what has happened.”
A video that may well provoke more questions than it answers, check out the ominous clip below.
‘A Part Of It’ gets taken from the band’s latest record ‘Unravelling’, which is out now via FatCat Records.
We Were Promised Jetpacks will play with Death Cab For Cutie next week at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire. The dates are as follows.
